Samakhiali-Gandhidham (Gujarat)

L&T Samakhiali Gandhidham Tollway Ltd (L&T SGTL) is an SPV with a 100% stake by L&T IDPL that has signed the concession agreement with NHAI for constructing a six lane stretch on the national highway 8A. NH 8A is the main traffic feeding arterial route connecting the important Port towns of Kandla and Mundra to the hinterlands in Gujarat and up north - extending to Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and beyond. The scope of this INR 13 billion project included the design, construction, financing and operations (DBFOT basis) of the 56.17 km stretch of NH 8A between Samakhiali and Gandhidham. The commercial operations of the L&T SGTL project commenced in September 2010 and the concession period inclusive of the construction phase is 24 years.
