L&T Ahmedabad Maliya Tollway Limited (L&T-AMTL), a 100% owned SPV of L&T IDPL is executing the project for augmentation of the 180 km stretch connecting Ahmedabad-Viramgam-Halvad-Maliya from a two lane road to a four lane divided road on BOT (Toll) basis. This Gujarat State Road Development Corporation (GSRDC) project falls on Gujarat State Highway-17 connecting the fast developing Ahmedabad (Sarkhej) & Viramgam and on State Highway-7 connecting Viramgam to Maliya, in Gujarat. The scope of this INR 14.97 billion project includes four laning of the stretch, including bypasses at Sachana, Dhrangadhra and Halva.
L&T-AMTL will design, engineer, fund, construct, operate and maintain the road stretch for the period of concession which is 22 years, including the construction period of 30 months. Currently, the project is partly operational with two of the four sections of the project having started commercial operations in April 2012 and May 2012 respectively, while the remaining two sections shall be starting commercial operations soon.
